Mississippi
Mississippi legalized sports betting in 2018 allowing 23 properties to offer sports betting since August 1, 2018. Under current law, mobile betting is only legal and permitted to those physically present in a licensed casino. No mobile or online betting is allowed off the grounds of a casino.
Montana
Montana is the first state in 2019 to legalize sports betting in which the state lottery will monitor a system of wagering through kiosks and mobile applications. Efforts have been made to get kiosks ready for the NFL season in September.
Nevada
Nevada l was the first state to regulate sports betting and was grandfathered in 1949 after the PASPA was passed to ban future state expansion. As a result, Nevada had a legal monopoly of sports wagering until the Supreme Court struck down the federal ban.
The state is also home to the world’s largest sportsbook facility at Westgate. It is popular with the gold standard.
New Hampshire
New Hampshire legalized sports betting in June 2019 for those from 18 years old to bet while most states allow betting to those 21 and older. Remote authorization for online wagering is authorized, but in-state collegiate wagering is not allowed.
New Jersey
New Jersey sports betting legalized in 2018 after being signed into law in June. It is one of the largest markets in the USA. Sportsbooks exist at land-based casinos, tracks, and online via mobile apps. The legal betting age is 21 years old, but those who are 18 can bet on horse races.
While sports betting is not actually legalized in New Mexico, two casinos have sportsbooks.
The tribes are operating under the belief that the sports wagering is a ‘Class III’ game as the Code of Regulations Title 25 section 502.4 defines so. The Santa Ana Star Casino and Hotel and the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder are those offer sports books.
